Point Park is located in downtown Carrollton, at the confluence of the Ohio and Kentucky Rivers. A boat ramp and plenty of parking allow boaters to launch and explore the Ohio River and the Kentucky River. Boats can travel from Carrollton to Frankfort on the Kentucky River since Locks 1-4 are now open from Memorial Day Weekend until the end of October. Point Park is also a perfect place for a picnic, with shelters and public restrooms, basketball court, skate park, volleyball court, walking trails and splash park for children. Guests can also stroll along Carrollton's River Walk, a paved walking trail along the Ohio and Kentucky River banks. Point Park is also the venue for several local events through out the year such as Bands & BBQ in September.
