The classic Shirley Temple mocktail becomes a full-tilt cocktail with the help of bourbon and Ale-8-One soda – a classic Kentucky combination that dates back to before the repeal of Prohibition.

1 1/2 ounces Kentucky bourbon
4 ounces Ale-8-One
Grenadine
Maraschino Cherry
Preparation
Fill rocks glass with ice. Pour bourbon into glass followed by a splash of grenadine and Ale-8-One. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
