Franklin Drive-In
One of the very few drive-in theaters left in Kentucky and the surrounding area. It shows first run movies as well as some classics. The drive-in operates from mid March until about the end of October-middle of November, depending on the weather. Shows each day of the week are from Memorial Day to about Labor Day; From Labor Day until Memorial Day, the shows are only on the weekend.
The Franklin Drive-In is a bit of a drive from Nashville (around 35-45 minutes), but it's well worth it considering it might be the best movie deal ever! For $15, a car with 3 or less people can enter and watch the movies; 4 or more is $18, So, even if it's just two of you, that's a steal, right? The movies are almost always new releases that you would pay $9 or more per person to see at your indoor movie theater.
Bring your yard chair or blanket and sit up front while the children are at the playground.
You will need an FM Stereo radio for sound.
The drive-in is located at the Kentucky-Tennessee state line- across the road from Cat daddy's Pay Lake (just down the road from Kentucky Downs!)
