Golden Pond Planetarium

Sit back, relax and watch the stars spin all around you at the Golden Pond Planetarium and Observatory. Housed within the Golden Pond Visitors Center at the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, you'll learn everything you ever wanted to know about constellations and galaxies. You'll find yourself lost in a magical scene where the night sky comes to life. It's an educational treat for the whole family!

You'll never look at a starry sky quite the same way after viewing it under Golden Pond's 40-foot domed screen. During each of the Planetarium's educational programs, a Konica Minolta Mediaglobe II digital system projects images of stars and planets above you as 360-degree angles bring it all to life. The facility's technology also recreates the night sky from anywhere in the world, providing a glimpse of the galaxy unhindered by pollution or cloud cover.
