Historic Downtown Stanford

The city of Stanford, located in Lincoln County, grew from one of Kentucky's first settlements. The county's motto is "A County of Firsts" – Stanford is home to the first brick house in Kentucky, the state's first governor, the first counter-clockwise circular racetrack, and many other unique assets.
In addition to its firsts, Stanford also houses a variety of cultures and heritage. Come explore the Amish communities, the award-winning Lincoln County Fair, or one of the numerous flea markets and antique shops. Don't forget to stop at the Bluebird for a delicious farm-to-table meal or Kentucky Soaps and Such to see how goats milk is transformed into decadent soaps and lotions.
