Juniper Hill Park and Golf Course


Juniper Hill Golf Course
is an 18-Hole Municipal Golf Course built by the City of Frankfort,
Kentucky which opened for play on May 1, 1957.   It quickly became one
of the most popular golf courses in Kentucky.  


Juniper Hill features
active golfing associations  for all ages and skill levels.   The
Juniper Hill Golf Association along with the Juniper Hill Ladies' Golf
Club are two of the largest organizations in their respective
divisions.    The  Sweet Swingin' Seniors play weekly and  many
non-profit groups use Juniper Hill to host fundraising golf events which
help raise needed revenue for many local charities.   Over a quarter of
a million dollars annually is raised through golf events held at
Juniper Hill. 


The
Annual Governor's Open which debuted in 1965 has become one of the
elite golf tournaments in Kentucky.   It attracts top golf professionals
and amateurs from all across the nation.   Many current and former tour
pros have competed over the years including Steve Flesch, Jodie Mudd,
Russ Cochran, Fuzzy Zoeller, as well as the late Larry Gilbert.
