Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company
Item 1 of 1
Peerless Distilling Company dates back to the late 1800’s. Under the leadership of Henry Kraver, Peerless
was one of the two largest distilleries in the state of Kentucky making over
200 barrels of whiskey per day. Due to WWI and Prohibition, the Distillery was
forced to close. In June 2015, Kraver’s great-grandson Corky Taylor, and his
son, Carson Taylor, 4th and 5th generation resepctively re-opened the Distillery in Downtown Louisville. All under one roof in this state-of-the-art facility, the finest grains are
milled, cooked, fermented, and double-distilled, and then the rye and bourbon
are barreled onsite. Although those liquors won’t complete the time-honored
aging process until 2017 and 2019, respectively, Peerless offers seven
flavors of Lucky Kentucky Moonshine, a low-proof, flavored spin on the
traditional spirit with an easy-drinking, soft palate
