Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike & Hike Trail

The Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike & Hike Trail begins in Park City's Bell's Tavern Park. Long before the establishment of Mammoth Cave National Park, the town of Glasgow Junction (Park City) cooperated with the private owners of Mammoth Cave, Diamond and other caves in the area to share the cave region with travelers. They were all connected by family relationships, & community, and in 1886 a spur line, the Mammoth Cave Railroad was created. The current 9 mile Mammoth Cave Railroad Bike & Hike Trail celebrates that legacy of cooperation and hospitality between Mammoth Cave and Park City. Thousands of miles of trails and waterways criss-cross the beautiful state of Kentucky. We offer endless opportunities for outdoor adventures, staycations, and roadtrips. Along these trails, numerous communities have been designated as certified Kentucky Trail Towns. Park City is proud to be an official KY Trail Town! Visit Park City, we are original entrance to Mammoth Cave & Diamond Caverns and the hub for travelers and cave visitors from all over the world!
