Pyro Gallery

 PYRO Gallery’s roots run
deep in the neighborhood. Formed 10 years ago and named PYRO to
celebrate the gallery’s first home in a former fire house on Hancock
Avenue, the gallery now occupies an urban space at 909 East Market
Street. PYRO is an artist owned and operated gallery with 19 current
members. Working in many different styles and media, the diverse group
of professional artist members guarantees a lively assortment of
available work to visitors and collectors. Although the core of the
organization is made up of experienced and respected professional artist
members, an active associates’ program welcomes a few select, talented,
young artists who are seeking both exhibition opportunities and
positive professional mentoring. In return these valued young artists
bring wonderful creativity and energy to this supportive gallery
atmosphere.
Because PYRO artists are autonomous in their personal selection of
which of their works to exhibit, shows are often experimental, always
fresh, and invariably surprising. Exhibitions rotate every six weeks so
frequent visits will offer patrons consistently new viewing experiences.
