The Richmond Visitor Center is located in the Historic District of West Main Street. The gorgeous two story brick home once belonged to Brutus J. Clay, son of famous Kentucky abolitionist Cassius M. Clay. Brutus Clay built the home in 1927 after he returned from serving as minster to Switzerland. The architecture of the home is inspired by his residence in Switzerland. The Visitor Center is your #1 resources for all things Richmond and the Bluegrass Region. We have brochures and guides for local attractions and restaurants. On our second floor you can find exhibits related to our local history, to include a couch once owned by hatchet wielding saloon smasher, Carrie Nation.
