The Zilpo Scenic Byway is a gently curving eleven mile road with a travel time of approximately 20 minutes each way. The route winds through the eastern hardwoods of the Daniel Boone National Forest which provides opportunities to glimpse wildlife and other points of interest along the route including Clear Creek Lake, Clear Creek Iron Furnace, Tater Knob Fire Tower, Pioneer Weapons Wildlife Management Area and Cave Run Lake. There are plenty of opportunities to turnoff, stretch your legs and hike trails along the way.
