There's Only One Kentucky

You can travel the world over and not experience what you will find in Kentucky. We call it There’s Only One Kentucky. There’s only one Kentucky Derby, only one Bourbon Country and only one Horse Capital of the World. You will find these and many more one of a kind experiences only in Kentucky.

While the Kentucky Derby is world renown, there is also Louisville’s only one Kentucky Derby Museum and only one Kentucky Derby Festival, two weeks of events that attract visitors from throughout the world. Kentucky’s love affair with the horse is also showcased near Lexington at the only one Kentucky Horse Park, a 1,200 acre park that is a working horse farm that includes museums, a daily parade of breeds, horseback riding and a great deal more.

Virtually all of the world’s bourbon is produced in Kentucky, and only here can you explore the distilleries of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail®. These and other distilleries offer wonderful tours highlighting the methods and the traditions that surround America’s native spirit.

Kentucky is the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, America’s 16th president who led our country during the U.S. Civil War. Muhammad Ali, a worldwide figure as both an athlete and a humanitarian, and Bill Monroe, the father of Bluegrass music were also born in Kentucky. The stories of these influential Americans are told at sites in Kentucky dedicated to their achievements. For example, the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville is an enormously popular and highly interactive museum about Ali’s life, both in and outside the ring.
