Kentucky Folk Art Center

Roadside America’s Guide to Offbeat Tourist Attractions recommends a visit to the Kentucky Art Center to enjoy a variety of arts and crafts – like sculptures, carvings, paintings and drawings – by untrained contemporary artists from every corner of the state. Located in a former grocery store on the campus of Morehead State University, the center-museum and gift shop is home to permanent rotating collections of folk art and objects with new exhibits added annually. Special Exhibits are featured periodically.  Don’t miss cultural events and activities – including Appalachian Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair (first Saturday in Dec) with $3 admission. Open 9a-5p Mon-Sat
